Tooth Fairy


Materials: 3 1/2 yds. of white lace; 1 3/4 yds. brush fringe in yellow; 1/4 yard pink fabric (or 20 x 5"); 1/2 yard blue fabric; 44"  width; 1/2 yard white fabric; white felt 2 1/2 x 2 1/2"; toothbrush and toothpaste.

Instructions: Using pink fabric and pattern below, cut 2 head pieces and 4 hand pieces. With blue fabric cut 2 body pieces, 2 large pockets, 2 small pockets and 4 arms. Cut 2 wings from the white fabric and one tooth in white felt.
Embroidery: Outline the face on pink fabric. With 3 strands of embroidery floss, stitch outside lines of eyes and "lashes" in black, the right corners of eyes in blue satin stitch for pupil of eye and inside area in white lazy-daisy stitch. Embroider heart shaped mouth in red satin stitch, color cheeks with red fabric crayon.
Body: Allow 1/4 inch for all seams. With right sides together sew 2 large pockets together, leaving one edge open: Turn to right side and stitch open edge closed. Sew small pocket in same manner. Sew pocket to body, tacking white felt tooth on small pocket. Trim pockets with lace. Sew heads to front and back body pieces along straight neck edges. With right sides together sew front and back bodies (with attached heads) together leaving about 4 inches along one side open. Clip neck curves and turn to right side. Stuff doll and sew opening closed. Tack lace around neck, on bottom edge and down dress front.
Aarms: With right sides together sew hands to arms along straight edges. With right sides together sew right arm and then left arm together, leaving an opening. Clip curves, turn arms to right side. Stuff arms and sew opening. Attach lace around seam between hand and arm. Sew arms to shoulders.
