Knitting Patterns - Popcorn Bonnet

Note: This pattern is continued from the Popcorn Jacket pattern.
Materials: 1 ball   Beehive Baby Wool; Two # 12 and 2 # 8 Knitting Needles; 1 # 1 steel crochet hook; 4 yds. of ribbon 4 yds. of ribbon (for all 3 pieces of this popcorn set)

Beginning at face edge, with No. 12 needles cast on 85 sts.
Pattern: Work 12 rows Moss st.
Moss Stitch Instructions: 
Cast on an even number of sts.
Row 1: (K1, P1) rep to end
Row 2: (P1, K1) rep to end
Repeat these 2 rows for length desired.
13th row: Knit.  Sts. for crown will be picked up along this row later.
Make Brim: 
1st row: K1. P1. * Inc 1.st. in next st. P1. Repeat from * to last st. K1. (126 sts. on needle).
Change to No. 8 needles.
Next row: K1. Purl to last st. K1.
Beginning with 1st. pattern row, work 2 complete patterns, then 1st. 2nd and 3rd rows of next pattern. Cast off loosely.
To make crown: Fold Popcorn brim over the Moss st. band, having right sides of work facing each other. With No. 12 needles pick up and knit 1.st. in each st. of the 13th row. (85 sts. on needle). Work 4 rows Moss st.
Next row: (K1. P1) 3 times. *Inc 1.st. in next st. (P1. K1)twice. P1. Repeat from * to last st. K1. (98 sts. on needle).
Change to No. 8 needles.
Next row: K1. Purl to last st. K1.
Beginning with 1st. pattern row, continue even in pattern until work measures 5 ins, from cast-on edge, ending with 4th pattern row.
Change to No. 12 needles.
Next row: K1. *P3tog. K1. Repeat from * to last 5 sts. P3tog. K2tog. (49 sts. on needle).
Work 6 rows Moss st.
Next row: K1. *P3tog. (K1. P1)twice. K1. Repeat from * to end of row.
Work 5 rows Moss St.
Next row: K1. *P3tog. K1. P1. K1. Repeat from * to end of row.
Work 3 rows Moss St.
Next row: K1. *P3tog. K1. Repeat from * to end of row. Break wool. Thread end through remaining sts. Draw up and fasten securely. Sew back seam for 3 1/2 ins, from base of crown. Crochet picot edge as given for Jacket around entire brim and face edge. Make ribbon rosettes and sew to bonnet as illustrated.
