Decorate Your Daughters Picture

Decorate Your Daughters Picture
Designed by: Treasure It
Skill Level: Beginner

This is a project you can do in an hour of peace and quiet one afternoon, or a project your daughter can do at home or in Sunday school. Both of you will love playing with thread as your "crayons", then sprinkling shimmering beadlets over the photo. The result captures the heart-warming magic of your daughter's smile.
Materials needed:
  • Diamond Beadlets
  • 3/4-inch Treasure Tape roll
  • two pieces of colorful cardstock or decorative paper to coordinate with your photo
  • Kreinik #12 Braid in 012 Purple, 042 Confetti Fuschia*
  • Kreinik #16 Braid 829 Mint Julep, 1223 Passion Plum*
  • shallow pan or tray
  • your child's photo
* or choose metallic colors that coordinate with your photo
Instructions:
1. Cut one piece of cardstock slightly larger than your photo. Cut the other cardstock slightly larger than that.

2. Using scraps of Treasure Tape or another adhesive to attach the photo to the cardstock, then the cardstock to the largest card.
3. Lay the 3/4" tape around the border of the photo, overlapping onto the cardstock. Remove the red liner to expose the sticky part.
4. Lay the metallic thread in petal shapes, butterflies, words, or any pattern. Do all of your thread decorating first. 5. When thread part is complete, lay the picture in a shallow pan or tray and cover remaining sticky areas with Diamond Beadlets.
