Tumbling Pumpkins

Tumbling Pumpkins

Designed by: Dena Lenham
Skill Level: Beginner

This colorful miniature quilt design will brighten your home decor this fall. It also makes a nice gift for an autumn birthday. Our model was stitched in just two evenings, watching Sunday Night Football and Monday Night Football on tv!
Materials needed:

  • Kreinik Silk Mori in 2063, 2066, 2067 (a new color!), 4037, 7135
  • Tokens & Trifles Rectangle "Petals" sewing card (available from
  • Kreinik) that comes with a #28 Tapestry needle
  • green seed beads (optional)
Instructions:
1. Cross stitch this design centered on your 20-count perforated paper sewing card. Use one strand of Silk Mori for all cross stitches and backstitches. If desired, use beads in place of the green "x" squares.  (To see chart & key scroll down to bottom of page.)
2. When complete, lay the backer card against the back of your work, matching up holes, and sew backstitches in each corner flower to secure the backer to your work.
