Crochet Patterns - Lesley's Wedding Ensemble


This beautiful yet easy to make "Wedding Ensemble" pattern was Kindly Contributed by Designer: Gidge of Originals by Gidge. 


Edible Crafts: Make Candy Bouquets and Centerpieces For Fun & Profit.
Materials: Size 10 crochet cotton White - 500 yds.; 2 small snaps; 30” - 1/8” White satin ribbon; 36” - 1/4” White satin ribbon; 1 - 9” White tulle circle; size 7 steel crochet hook or size to obtain gauge.
Finished Size: Fits an 11 1/2” Fashion Doll.

Gauge: 8 sc = 1” ; 10 sc rows = 1”

Bodice:
Row 1: With White thread, ch 34, sc in second
ch from hook, sc in each chain across, ch 1, turn. (33 sc)

Tie 36” piece of 1/4” White satin ribbon around
waist, leave tail hang down back of gown.

A little tip from Lisa Seet: I agree this is a good idea!

A tip I thought would be useful is to make a petticoat
with a piece of white tissue, it is attached at the doll's
waist with sticky tape so that her legs would not be
seen thru the more translucent white.

Veil and Hairpiece:
Row 1: With White thread, ch 5, sl st in 1st ch to
orm ring, 10 sc in ring, join with sl st in 1st sc.

Row 2: Working in rows, ch 4, (dc in next sc, ch 1)
6 times, dc in next sc, ch 4, turn.

Row 3: Dc in last ch sp, * (dc, ch 1, dc) in next ch sp,
ch 1, rep from * 4 times, dc in next sp, ch 1, dc in 3rd
ch of beg ch, ch 2, turn.

Row 4: *(Dc, ch 1) 4 times in the next ch-sp, dc in the
same sp, sc in next ch-sp*, repeat from * to * around,
ch 2, sl st to ch-3 of last row, fasten off.

Take one - 9” round circle of White tulle, gather
1” from edge, sew fan to center of gather, pin to
dolls head, to keep in place.

Bouquet: Fan (make 2)
Row 1: With White thread, ch 5, sl st in 1st ch to
form ring, 10 sc in ring, join with sl st in 1st sc.

Row 2: Working in rows, ch 4, (dc in next sc, ch 1)
6 times, dc in next sc, ch 4, turn.

Row 3: Dc in last ch sp, * (dc, ch 1, dc) in next ch sp,
ch 1, rep from * 4 times, dc in next sp, ch 1, dc in
3rd ch of beg ch, ch 2, turn.

Row 4: (Dc, ch 1) 4 times in next ch-sp, dc in same sp,
sc in next ch-sp, (dc, ch 1) 4 times in next ch-sp,
dc bet next 2 dc, ch 1, (dc, ch1) 3 times in next ch-sp,
dc in same sp, sc in next ch-sp, (dc, ch 1) 4 times in
next ch-sp, dc in same sp, ch 2, sl st to ch-3 of last row,
fasten off.

Rose:
Row 1: With White thread, ch 24, sc in 6th ch
from hook, (ch 3, sk next ch, sc in next ch) rep
across, turn.

Row 2: Ch 2, (3 dc, ch 2, sc) in first loop, (ch 2,
4 dc, ch 2, sc) in next 3 loops, (ch 2, 5 dc, ch 2, sc)
in next 4 loops, (ch 2, 6 dc, ch 2, sc) in next 2 loops,
fasten off.

Roll up and tack on back to help hold its shape,
first petal made is the center petal. Tack to center of fan.

Violet: (make 2)
Row 1: With White thread, ch 2, 5 sc in 2nd ch
from hook.

Row 2: (sl st, ch 2, 2 dc, ch 2, sl st) in each sc around,
fasten off.

Use 1 - 3mm pearl bead and attach to fan, scrunch
up next to rose.

Make second fan, soak piece of cotton ball in
favorite fragrance, allow to dry, sew fans together, w
ith cotton ball in between.

Fold one piece of 15” - 1/8” White satin ribbon in
half, tie into small bow, tack to bottom of fan, below
rose and violets. Tack to hands for scented bouquet.
