Crochet Patterns - Crochet Yarmulke

Size: Adult  * for child size Yarmulke, fasten off after round 4.

Materials:

Small amount of worsted weight yarn

Size H aluminum hook

Tapestry needle

 

Instructions

Note: All stitches in rounds 2-5 are worked in back loops only

 

Round 1: Ch 5, join with sl st to form a ring, ch 1, 10 sc in ring, join with sl st to first sc (10 sc)

Round 2: Ch 3, working in back loops only from this point on, dc in same st as joining, work 2dc in each remaining st around, join to top of ch 3 (20 dc)

 

Round 3: Ch 3, 2dc in next st, (dc in next st, 2dc in next st) around, join to top of   ch 3 (30 dc)  

Round 4: Ch 3, dc in next st, 2dc in next st, (dc in next 2 sts, 2dc in next st) around, join to top of ch 3 (40 dc)  

Round 5: Ch 3, dc in next 2 sts, 2dc in next st, (dc in next 3 sts, 2dc in next st) around, join to top of ch 3, fasten off and weave in ends (50 dc)
