Gauge: Each block measures about 3 inches square when blocked.
For a single size spread make 20 x 29 blocks; For a double size spread make 24 x 29 blocks.
BLOCK—Ch 2, 3 sc in starting st.
ROW 2—Ch 4, turn, 5 dc in back loop of last sc, remove hook, insert it in ch st preceding 1st dc, catch loop and pull thru tight (1 Popcorn Stitch made). (Ch 4, pc st in next sc) twice, 1 dc in same end sc.
ROW 3—Ch 1, turn, sc in dc, (sc in Pc st, 4 sc in 3-ch space) twice, 2 sc in end pc st.
ROW 4—Work this and all pc st rows in back rows only. Ch 4, turn, pc St in last Sc, (ch 2, dc in next 2d Sc, ch 3, pc St in next 2d sc 3 times, 1 dc in same end sc.
ROW 5—Ch 1, turn, sc in dc, (Sc in pc st, 2 sc in 2-ch, sc in dc, 2 sc in 2-ch 3 times, 2 sc in pc St.
ROW 6—Ch 4, turn, pc St in last sc, *(ch 1, dc in next 2d Sc, ch 2, pc st in next 2d Sc) * 5 times, dc in same end sc.

Sew blocks together with neat over-and-over stitches on wrong side, going thru 1 loop of each st. Be careful to exactly match corners.
BORDER—Work 3 rows of dc around spread, going thru one loop of each st.
Make 5 dc in each corner. Block to measurements given.
